Will a lucky lottery player become a billionaire Wednesday or will the grand prize continue to grow?
The Powerball jackpot has climbed to $1.2 billion for Wednesday night’s drawing, making it the third-largest jackpot in Powerball history.
No one matched all six winning numbers in Monday’s, Oct. 2, drawing. The winning numbers were: white balls 12, 26, 27, 43, 47 and red Powerball 5. The Power Play multiplier was 2X.
The jackpot has been growing since July 19—there have been 32 consecutive drawings without a grand prize winner. On July 19, a California ticket won a jackpot worth $1.08 billion.
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play. Powerball drawings are broadcast live every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. EST from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee. Drawings are also live streamed on Powerball.com.
The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
