One adult had non-life-threatening injuries following a fire Monday in Gaithersburg that was caused by a candle, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS).
Two adults were displaced, according to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer.
MCFRS units responded to the 10000 block of Trafalgar Square near Muddy Branch Road in Gaithersburg, Piringer shared on Twitter at 4:22 a.m. Monday.
There was a fire in a second-floor bedroom and one adult was taken to a hospital with minor burns.
The fire was caused by a candle, which was too close to the bed and ignited the bed, according to Piringer.
Damage is estimated to be $25,000.
