All Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) school-sponsored activities and events for Saturday, Feb. 17, are canceled. This includes athletic events, any academic programs and field trips. Community use of public facilities, in schools, are also canceled.
A Winter Storm Warning for Montgomery County has been issued for late Friday night into early Saturday morning. Snow accumulation could reach 5 or more inches in some areas of Montgomery County according to some prognostications.
All resources will be employed in preparing school facilities to be ready for opening on Tuesday, Feb. 20 according to MCPS. Monday is the Presidents Day holiday.
