Two teenagers were arrested and charged with possessing pills suspected of being laced with fentanyl.
According to Montgomery County Police (MCP), the two teens were observed buying and selling drugs on Georgian Wood Place in Glenmont.
Police officers said a 16-year-old was the seller, and an 18-year-old from Riverdale was the buyer. They were both detained without incident.
Following a search, the 16-year-old dealer was found with 432 M30 pills laced with what police suspected was fentanyl. The 18-year-old was determined to possess 13 of the same pills.
The juvenile also had packaging materials and an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police. He was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services for appropriate charges prior to being released to his parents.
The older teen was taken to MCP’s 4th District station and charged.
Police released a photo of the drugs and money found on the two suspects.
