2024 General Election 8th Congressional District

Montgomery County voters will cast ballots in the 8th Congressional District, represented by Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Takoma Park), who is running for re-election. Raskin has held the seat since 2016.

The 8th District includes urban and suburban areas in Montgomery County, along with rural parts of Frederick and Carroll counties. It blends residential suburbs with major business hubs and includes cities like Gaithersburg, Rockville, Bethesda, and Silver Spring.

U.S. Representatives serve two-year terms without term limits. Maryland is divided into eight congressional districts out of 435 nationwide.

Election Day: Nov. 5
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Early Voting: Oct. 24-31
There will be 14 early voting centers across Montgomery County.
