2024 Primary Election Montgomery School Board At-Large

Montgomery County voters will elect three nonpartisan members to the Board of Education in November. The top two vote-getters in the May 14 primary for the at-large, District 2 and 4 races will advance to the general election.

The Board of Education is composed of two At-Large members who may live anywhere in the county and five members who must reside in the districts they represent. The terms are staggered, with one At-Large and two or three district members elected every two years. All voters, regardless of the district they live in or party affiliation, may vote for one At-Large candidate and one candidate each for the Districts 2 and 4 this year.

Lynne Harris is the current at large board member seeking reelection. Other candidates in the race include Sharif Hidayat, Melissa Kim, Jonathan Long, Fitzgerald Mofor, and Rita Montoya.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 14 for the primary election. Early voting is available from May 2 through May 9 at 14 early voting centers throughout Montgomery County.
