He later died at an area hospital.
According to Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, both Garcia and Jackson had picked up the victim outside his home and drove to where the murder took place. A surveillance camera captured the attack that ensued.
According to court documents, the victim got into the car with the two defendants. That car later is then seen on video in the area. The driver can be seen pulling the rear seat passenger from the car, leaving him on the road and driving off. The person walks away but shortly collapses and calls 911.
Last year, Jackson Garcia, 20, of Silver Spring was convicted of first-degree murder and other charges in the same case.
Garcia will be sentenced Feb. 16 and faces life in prison.
“This is yet another case of a marijuana deal gone bad in Montgomery County resulting in murder. The purchasing of marijuana within the black-market, which continues to exist despite legal changes that have taken place in the state of Maryland, remains extremely dangerous,” said State’s Attorney John McCarthy.
