Westfield Wheaton mall is expanding its culinary offerings by opening three new restaurants this month: Wise Guy Pizza, Firehouse Subs, and Sarku Japan. The latest additions invite shoppers to tantalize their taste buds, as each restaurant brings unique flavors and backgrounds to the shopping mall.
Wise Guy Pizza
Wise Guy Pizza is bringing its renowned New York-style pies to the mall. Founded by a group of friends with a passion for pizza, Wise Guy Pizza has garnered a reputation for using fresh ingredients and traditional techniques. The eatery emphasizes its use of old-world Italian recipes combined with a contemporary flair.
Wise Guy Pizza has become known for its wide array of hand-tossed pizzas, with options ranging from classic Margherita to adventurous gourmet combinations. The restaurant will occupy the space that Angel’s Pizza previously resided in. The new location at the mall will be Wise Guy Pizza’s fifth restaurant across the DMV area and the first in Maryland.
Firehouse Subs
Opening its third location in Montgomery County is Firehouse Subs, a nationally recognized chain founded by former firefighting brothers Robin and Chris Sorensen in Jacksonville, Florida. Known for its commitment to community and public safety support, Firehouse Subs has a unique firefighter theme that resonates throughout its décor and sandwich names.
The Firehouse Subs menu features various hot subs, each made with freshly sliced meats and cheeses. A portion of every purchase at Firehouse goes to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which provides life-saving equipment to first responders. So far, Firehouse Subs has raised more than $80 million for their foundation.
Sarku Japan
Returning to the mall with a taste of the Far East, Sarku Japan offers an authentic Japanese Teppanyaki experience. Founded in 1987, Sarku Japan has become the largest and most successful Japanese Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) operator in the United States. Their chefs prepare dishes on Teppanyaki grills, right before customers’ eyes, adding a touch of entertainment to the dining experience.
Sarku Japan’s menu features popular dishes like Teriyaki Chicken, Beef Teriyaki, and various sushi rolls. Fresh, made-to-order dishes are prepared using only the highest quality ingredients, ensuring a delicious and authentic experience. The two other Sarku Japan restaurants in Montgomery County are at Westfield Montgomery Mall and the White Oak shopping center. The Wheaton Mall location will open in an area just outside of Costco.
