Three people were taken to a hospital following a five-car crash Thursday, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS).
MCFRS responded to the collision along the Intercounty Connector between Layhill Road and New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring, according to Assistant Chief David Pazos.
Three people were taken to hospitals, including one trauma patient.
Traffic was slowed going eastbound, Pazos stated after 3 p.m. Thursday.
