3 Teenagers Charged With Multiple Burglaries in Bethesda

Three teenagers were arrested in connection with a series of residential burglaries in Bethesda.

Casey Jones, 19, of Bethesda, Caleb Taylor, 19, of Rockville and Arden Gormely, 18, were arrested and charged in connection with residential burglaries, thefts and auto thefts that took place between April and December of 2024.

According to Montgomery County Police officers, on Nov. 18, 2024, the three teenagers were involved in an attempted burglary on Davenport Terrace, first-degree burglary on Avalon Drive and first-degree burglary on Cranston Road.

They are charged with first-degree burglary on Cromwell Drive that took place on Nov. 19, 2024.

On Dec. 1, they were charged in connection with attempted burglaries that occurred on Cronwell Drive and Welborn Drive as well as a first-degree burglary on Welborn Drive and a first-degree burglary and auto theft on Harwick Road. They also are charged for a theft on Cromwell Drive and first-degree burglary and auto theft on Ramsgate on that same Sunday.

The three were arrested Dec. 4, 2024 after they forced entry into a home on Massachusetts Avenue and stole property and a vehicle.

According to police, during an investigation, detectives identified Jones, Taylor and Gormley as the suspects who committed these crimes.

They are all charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree burglary, auto theft, theft and related charges.

Detectives executed search warrants at several of the burglarized homes, where items of evidentiary value connecting Jones, Taylor and Gormley to the crimes were recovered.

Detectives also found evidence that linked Jones, Taylor and Gormley to more than a dozen additional burglaries, thefts and auto thefts in Bethesda that date back to April 2024. They have been charged with these break ins as well.

Jones was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond. Taylor was released on an unsecured personal bond and Gormley was released on his own recognizance.
