Four male Springbrook High School students were involved in a fight Tuesday that started in a school bathroom around 11:30 a.m. and resulted in one student being taken to a hospital for a cut to his head.
Montgomery County Police and community engagement officers responded to the Silver Spring school following a report of a stabbing.
Police said the stabbed student did not suffer a life-threatening injury.
A 17-year-old student was charged with first-degree assault. He was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit to await his bond hearing.
Two other students were charged with second-degree assault, and one was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous subject, according to police.
