4 Teens Arrested in Rockville Burglary, RCPD Says

Four teens were arrested in connection with a burglary in Rockville, according to the Rockville City Police Department (RCPD).

RCPD responded to a burglary in progress at Smoke Island, a business located at 811 Hungerford Drive, on March 22, at approximately 1:15 a.m.

The call was made after the property manager was notified of movement on the property’s surveillance cameras. 

Upon arrival, officers apprehended the male juvenile suspects, ages 14 to 16, all from Rockville, who were using a stolen Hyundai Elantra during the burglary, according to RCPD.

One of the teenagers was apprehended with the stolen vehicle, while the other three were apprehended on the Unity Bridge which crosses the Metro and train tracks just a short distance from the business. 

Over $4,000 of stolen property was recovered.  

The juveniles face multiple charges, including burglary, theft, and destruction of property related to both the stolen vehicle and the burglary.
