Looking for fun ways to celebrate the holidays? Montgomery County announced the following five performances for the holiday season:

A Christmas Carol: From Nov. 29 through Dec. 29 at the Olney Theatre Center on 2001 Olney Sandy Spring Road. The show will last about two and a half hours with one intermission, and ticket prices vary from $41 to $81, according to the Olney Theatre Center website. A Winter’s Eve: On Saturday, Dec. 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bender JCC of Greater Washington on 6125 Montrose Road in North Bethesda. The event will include excerpts from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” with an original adaptation of Raymond Briggs’ “The Snowman,” according to Visit Montgomery. Each ticket costs $27. A Renaissance Christmas with Ars Gratia Populi: On Thursday, Dec. 12 and Friday, Dec. 13 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Mansion at Strathmore on 5301 Tuckerman Lane in North Bethesda. A chamber choir will perform carols for the audience. Currently, the events are sold out but Strathmore encourages people to check back periodically, according to the Strathmore website. Nutcracker Night: On Saturday, Dec. 14 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center on 7995 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring. The Akhmedova Ballet Academy (ABA) will perform “The Nutcracker,” and ticket prices vary from $23.18 to $33.85, according to the ABA website. For more information or to purchase tickets, click here.
- A Holiday Concert featuring The Many Moods of Christmas: On Saturday, Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 15 at 3 p.m. at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre on 603 Edmonston Drive in Rockville. The event includes four suites of Christmas carols and the “March of the Toys” from Victor Herbert’s “Babes in Toyland,” and tickets cost $20, according to the theatre’s website.
