It’s Friday, April 15 and income tax returns are not due today. The deadline is Monday, April 18 for federal returns and Friday, July 15 for Maryland returns. Here are five things to know coming up this weekend in Montgomery County.
1. Metro Station Closure: The Red Line metrorail segment between Grosvenor-Strathmore and Medical Center will be closed Saturday and Sunday for construction work. Shuttle buses will transport riders between the two stations.
2. Project Prom Dress: The recreation department has organized this event at the Marilyn Praisner Recreation Center in Burtonsville. High school students may choose a free prom dress, shoes and accessories Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Scan the QR code on the tweet below to select a fitting time.

3. Community Easter Egg Hunt: The Round Oak Missionary Baptist Church is hosting an egg hunt Saturday, April 16 from 1-4 p.m. The event is free, prizes will be given and everyone of all ages is welcome.
4. County At Home COVID-19 Testing: Free at-home COVID-19 PCR tests are now available at County-run clinics. Montgomery County Dept. of Health and Human Services Public Health Emergency Preparedness Manager Sean O’Donnell explains the process and locations of test drop boxes in this video:
5. Recreation Facilities Closed: All recreation facilities will be closed Sunday, April 17.
