1. Route 29 Traffic Safety Operation: Police and partnering agencies will conduct a traffic safety operation on Route 29 today to enforce Maryland’s Move Over Law and to deter speeding. The enforcement effort is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and officers will focus on drivers who fail to move over for stopped vehicles with flashing lights or who exceed speed limits.

2. Takoma Park City Council: The Takoma Park City Council will have a meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Takoma Park Community Center. The meeting can be viewed in-person, on YouTube, the City Council video webpageFacebook, or City TV. See the meeting agenda here.

3. Cherry Blossoms: Cherry blossoms hit peak bloom in D.C. last week, the National Park Service reported. If you cannot visit downtown, Montgomery County offers stunning alternatives.
