2. Navigating Career Transitions Workshop: Two free virtual workshops will help former federal employees and other workers 50 and older transition to new careers. These sessions provide strategies for networking, job searching, and using current career tools. The first workshop is today from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and will focus on building resilience, refining professional pitch, and strengthening online presence. Learn more and register here.
3. Capital Budget Community Meeting: County Executive Marc Elrich will host the second of six public meetings on the Fiscal Year 2027 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) budget. Tonight’s meeting: Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Office (4805 Edgemoor Lane, Bethesda) Time: 7 p.m.
The CIP funds long-term projects like school construction, recreation centers, and transportation improvements—separate from the operating budget, which covers yearly expenses.
4. MCDOT Bus Rapid Transit: The Montgomery County Department of Transportation will hold a virtual meeting today at 7 p.m. on the North Bethesda Bus Rapid Transit Study. 5. (ICYMI) Twinbrook Community Care Day: It was hard to tell the schools were closed Monday at Twinbrook Elementary. Students of all ages were busy creating a wellness space, planting trees and painting tree stump stools. Read article here.
