Autism Acceptance Month: Various agencies from across the county are hosting the “Shine Brighter Together” event at the Wheaton Regional Park Saturday, April 6 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. various agencies from across the county are hosting the “Shine Brighter Together” event at the park. 3. Summer Job Fairs: Montgomery County Recreation is hiring part-time employees to work during the summer season. Available positions include camp directors, assistant directors, camp counselors, lifeguards and more. There are two job fairs scheduled for today to learn about and apply for a seasonal position. The first takes place from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Bauer Drive Recreation Center located at 14625 Bauer Drive in Rockville. The second takes place at the East County Recreation Center from 3-5:30 p.m. which is located at 3310 Gateshead Manor Way in Silver Spring. For more information, click here.
4. Teen Workshop: Montgomery County Public Schools’ (MCPS) upcoming RespectFEST event will feature workshops on bystander intervention, consent, dating violence and healthy relationships. Students in sixth through 12th grade and their families are invited to attend the event Sunday, April 7 from 1-4 p.m. at the Wheaton Community Recreation Center. Shuttle buses will be provided to help participants arrive at the community center. Learn more here.

Solar Eclipse Events: Kensington Park Library will offer solar eclipse and space crafts Friday at 4:30 p.m. Potomac Library will have hand-on science and craft activities Saturday at 11 a.m. And on Monday, the Gaithersburg Latitude Observatory will host a viewing event from 2 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Attendees are advised to bring a red flashlight instead of a bright flashlight to minimize disturbance for other viewers
