1. Library Happenings: Montgomery County Public Libraries have 8 events happening today, from creating art for youth to learning about library apps fro adults and seniors. Find the list here. And check out this opportunity for youth ages 11-18 to learn African Drumming:

2. Saturday Concert: A free concert takes place Saturday at 5 p.m. as part of the Bloom by Strathmore series. Violinist Nistha Raj and hip-hop artist Chris Bacon perform Indian music and beatbox. The concert starts at 5 p.m. at the Good Hope Recreation Center in Silver Spring.
3. County Budget: The County Executive and Council are urging residents to be involved in the budget process. Next week, the County Council holds public hearings for the operating budget. Also, starting on Friday, April 12, the County Executive is asking residents to participate in discussions on capital improvements, before he makes recommendations to the Council.
4. White’s Ferry Future: The historic ferry over the Potomac connecting Montgomery and Loudoun Counties has been shutdown for more than two years. Will Montgomery County purchase the ferry? County Executive Marc Elrich says possibly.
5. Lacrosse Clinic: This week the nonprofit MoCo Lacrosse sponsored a clinic at Paint Branch High School. Players from Paint Branch, Kennedy, and Wheaton High Schools ran plays under the direction of Dom Starsia, the 4-time national champion head coach of University of Virginia.
And One More Thing: Passover is an important Jewish holiday that celebrates the Israelites’ escape from slavery in Eqypt. Passover is observed from April 5 to April 13. Sunday, April 9 is Easter and considered the most important holiday in Christianity.
