1. Silver Spring Concert: Tonight is the final concert of the summer series at Veterans Plaza. Gary and the Groove perform rock and roll music covering all decades from the 1950s to the ‘90s–and even some hits from today. The concert starts at 7 p.m.
2. Sturgeon Moon: The last supermoon of the year reaches its peak tonight. It will reach peak illumination at 9:36 p.m. Eastern Time. According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, one should look toward the southeast after sunset to catch a glimpse of the Sturgeon Moon rising.
3. Parks Playhouse Junior Music Workshop: The New Orchestra of Washington perform for children ages 3 and up at the Flower Avenue Urban Park from 10 to 11 a.m.
4. Senior Planet Montgomery: Learn about the digital music service Spotify today at 4 p.m.
