1. President Biden: President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden will visit Richard Montgomery High School from 4:30-8 p.m.
2. **UPDATE: This event has been rescheduled. It will now be held on September 1st.
Overdose Awareness Day: DHHS will host a resource fair with food trucks from 5:30-7 p.m. A candlelight vigil and ceremony of remembrance will be held from 7:15-8:30 p.m.
3. Food Distribution: Oak Chapel’s Food Choice Pantry at 14500 Layhill Rd. Silver Spring from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Registration required, call or text 240-462-6086, or use web link to register.
4. Montgomery Parks: Participate in activities that will boost your physical and mental wellness through creative expression, exercise, and socialization. Registration is required and opens today.
Registration opens Thursday, August 25, for Go, Grow, and Get Active, the award-winning signature event that kicks off Active Aging Week on Monday, October 3, 2 pm to 5 pm, at Brookside Gardens.

5. Transportation (ICYM): Wheaton Metro Station temporary bus bay relocations begin August 22. Fare collection started August 1, 2022 with a reduced fare of $1.
