1. Summer of Peace Event: The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Street Outreach Network will host the 2021 Summer of Peace event today at the Plum Gar Community Recreation Center in Germantown from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. See the tweet below for more details.

2. Ceremony of Remembrance: A candlelight vigil will be held today at Memorial Plaza in Rockville at 7:00 p.m to memorialize lives lost to overdose or substance use. The ceremony, which NBC4 news anchor Doreen Gentzler will host, commemorates International Overdose Awareness Day and aims to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths.
