1. Code Orange: The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) forecast today’s air quality to be in the Code Orange range. The air is unhealthy for sensitive groups to breathe.

2. Relief Fund: As of Tuesday morning, more than $9,400 has been raised to help families impacted by a fire at a Clarksburg apartment building. The relief fund will close by next Wednesday, Sept. 4, and those who want to contribute can donate here. 100% of donations will go to affected residents.

3. Metro Stations Reopening Soon: This Sunday, four Metro Red Line stations that have been closed for nearly three months will reopen. The Silver Spring, Forest Glen, Wheaton, and Glenmont stations will reopen after being closed since June 1 for construction of a Purple Line mezzanine and other work.
