1. Face Mask Mandate: Thursday afternoon, the County Council approved a new public health regulation, which requires face coverings in public indoor areas. The regulation goes into effect on August 7, at 12:01 a.m.

3. Walk With the Sunflowers: Butler’s Orchard in Germantown opens their Sunflower Spectacular Festival today with hours from 8:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. The farm anticipates peak sunflower blooms next week due to the cool weather this week.
4. Metro Stations Closed: The Cleveland Park and Woodley Park stations are closed this weekend for the tunnel ventilation pilot project.
