2. Police Department Santa Ride: Santa Claus is coming to town today for the Montgomery County Police Department’s annual Santa ride. See today’s planned stops below.

3. Street Closure: From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sligo Creek Parkway between Wayne Avenue and Piney Branch Road in Silver Spring will be closed for tree removal, according to Montgomery Parks.
4. Takoma Park City Council: At 7:30 p.m., the Takoma Park City Council will have a public meeting in the auditorium at the Takoma Park Community Center. The meeting can be viewed on YouTube, the City Council video webpage, Facebook, or City TV. See the meeting agenda here.
5. ICYMI: A 300-year-old Linden Oak tree has been transformed into a bench. Artist Colin Vale unveiled the sculpture last week. It sits at Ken-Gar Palisades Local Park in Kensington.
