1. Flu Vaccination Clinic: The Dennis Avenue Health Center is Silver Spring hosts a flu vaccine clinic today from 10:30 a.m.-5:45 p.m. Vaccines are available for anyone over the age of 6 months. Appointments must be made online.
2. Black History Month: The Montgomery Parks exhibit “The Rise of Newmantown” is on display today and tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Agricultural History Farm Park in Derwood. Learn the history of Albert and Mary Newman, who in 1862 emigrated from Virginia as freedmen to farm and build a thriving African American community known as “Newmantown.” The exhibit is on display every Friday and Saturday in February.
Also in celebration of Black History Month, Montgomery Parks encourages residents to explore the Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park and take a self-guided tour of the Underground Railroad Experience Trail on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

3. MCPS HBCU Fair: The schools and the Montgomery County Chapter of the NAACP is hosting a college fair today from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at The Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville.
4. Shop Maryland Energy: Consumers will get a break from the state’s 6 percent sales tax on qualifying Energy Star products from Saturday Feb. 18 through Monday, Feb. 20.
5. Presidents Day Holiday: Monday is a Federal and local holiday. County trash and recycling service will not be collected on Monday. Check out this list of What’s Open, What’s Not on Presidents Day around the county.
