5 Things to Know Today, Feb. 4, in Montgomery County

Today is Thursday, Feb. 4 and here are five things to know in Montgomery County.

1. Council Meets:  The County Council meets Thursday at 3 p.m. to introduce County Executive Elrich’s order to reinstate limited indoor restaurant dining. The Council holds a pubic hearing at 7:30 p.m. on a bill to prohibit school resource officers in the public schools.

2. COVID-19 Vaccine Survey: Today is the last day to respond to the county’s survey to better understand the community’s concerns about receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

3. COVID-19 Testing: Free COVID-19 testing is available throughout the county at eight testing sites today.

4. Planning Board Meets:  The Planning Board meets today starting a 9 a.m. The agenda includes a work session for the Thrive Montgomery 2050 plan. The meeting is streamed online, learn how to watch here.

5. MCPS Online Tutoring:  The public schools now offer free student online tutoring and homework help via a the tutorme.com service that is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for students in grade 3 through grade 12.
