1. Metrorail Service Saturday, Jan. 11 through Sunday, Jan. 12: Red Line trains will be single tracking between the Van Ness and Friendship Heights stations due to scheduled work. Trains run every 9 minutes between Glenmont and Dupont Circle and every 18 minutes between Dupont Circle and Shady Grove.

3. Ride On Route Changes: Starting Sunday, Jan. 12, the Department of Transportation will implement changes to 27 Ride On bus routes.
4. Summer Camps: Registration for Recreation Department summer camps begins Tuesday, Jan. 21. Saturday, the department hosts a fair to help families plan summer activities. The fair takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. at the East County Community Recreation Center in Silver Spring.
5. Damascus Heritage Society Muscum: Two hundred years of that history is displayed in a former Montgomery County portable school building tucked away behind the Damascus Library and Senior Center off Main Street.
