1. Cold Emergency Alert: Montgomery County has issued a Cold Emergency Alert through noon Thursday. Wind chill values are expected to drop below 20 degrees during this period.

Volunteer Opportunities: Thousands of county residents are expected to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and teachings by volunteering during the MLK Day of Service from Saturday, Jan. 18, to Monday, Jan. 20. Residents can choose from various events and projects across the county to give back to their communities.
