1. Cold Emergency Alert: The county is under a Cold Emergency Alert until 9 a.m. Thursday. The county’s Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security tells residents to expect wind chill values near zero degrees.

2. The Most Snow in 2 Years: The county and surrounding areas received accumulations of up to 6 inches of snow Monday into Tuesday. It is the first time in two years that the county has gotten an inch or more of accumulation.
3. Takoma Park City Council: At 7:30 p.m., the Takoma Park City Council will have a public meeting in the auditorium at the Takoma Park Community Center. The meeting can be viewed on YouTube, the City Council video webpage, Facebook, or City TV. See the meeting agenda here.
