2. Mobile Market Mondays: The Universities at Shady Grove’s Mobile Market returns today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visit room G318 on the ground floor of the Biomedical Sciences and Engineering Building. Bring grocery bags to collect free food. Volunteers are welcome—sign up here. Participants can park in Lot 2 and receive parking vouchers during pickup.
3. MCPS Budget Hearing: The Board of Education will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. on the Superintendent’s proposed FY26 Operating Budget. The event is open to the public and will be streamed live online. The first hearing on Jan. 16 addressed topics like class sizes, school violence threats, and staffing concerns.
4. Public Comment on School Misconduct Policy: The Board of Education invites feedback on a proposed policy for investigating employee misconduct. Submit your comments by the Feb. 3 deadline.
