1. Heat Emergency Alert: The county is under a Heat Emergency Alert until 8 p.m. Residents are told to prepare for the heat index to get up to 105 degrees during afternoon hours.

2. Metro Auto Doors: Metro is now operating faster “auto doors” on all rail lines.
3. Takoma Park City Council: At 7:30 p.m., the Takoma Park City Council will have a public meeting in the auditorium at the Takoma Park Community Center. The meeting can be viewed on YouTube, the City Council video webpage, Facebook, or City TV. See the meeting agenda here.
