1. Council President Briefing: Council President Gabe Albornoz will be joined by State’s Attorney John McCarthy and Chief of Police Marcus Jones for a media briefing today at 11 a.m. to discuss gun violence in the county and efforts to end the violence. The briefing will be streamed on the Council’s Facebook page here.
2. Council Committee Work: The Planning, Housing and Economic Development Committee (PHED) meets today at 9:30 a.m. The session will be televised live on County Cable Montgomery and streamed on YouTube. The agenda and staff reports may be found online.
3. Municipal Monday: The Gaithersburg Mayor and Council meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. for a work session. The agenda and information packet may be found online. 4. Agricultural History Farm Park: Photographer Joe Ryan visited the Agricultural History Farm Park in Derwood recently. The park is located at 18400 Muncaster Road in Derwood.

5. Grandreaders Program: The program is designed for children in kindergarten through third grade and will operate by pairing them with a “Grandreader” volunteer to practice reading out loud.
