1. MCPS Budget: The school board is expected to approve the operating budget for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) this afternoon. The meeting will be livestreamed here.

2. Council Meeting: The county council will meet today starting at 9 a.m. with separate proclamations recognizing World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and Caribbean American Heritage Month. The meeting will be livestreamed here.

3. Summer Twilight Concert Series: The 19th Street Band will put on a free concert tonight at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton from 6:30-8 p.m. as part of Montgomery Parks’ Summer Twilight Concert Series.

5. ICYMI: A North Bethesda mother and her two high school students drove away in their very own car that was refurbished and donated by Damascus High School students who are enrolled in automotive technology classes.
