2. Juneteenth Roundup of Events: Sandy Spring Museum’s History Hour series continues today at 6:30 p.m. with local historian Reynauld Smith’s presentation on the history of the Juneteenth holiday. Jerusalem-Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church holds a community festival Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to raise funds to restore the stained glass windows. Families can make a Juneteenth flag from painted popsickle sticks at the Long Branch Library from 3 to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Caribbean-American Heritage Festival: Cultures from Haiti, Panama, Dominican Republic, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia and Grenada will be featured Saturday at the Caribbean-American festival and resource fair. The event takes place at the Marian Fryer Town Plaza in Wheaton from noon to 6 p.m.

5. Pride Family Day: Celebrate Pride Month with hands-on arts and crafts and temporary tattoos, free carousel rides, live music, rainbow treats, and special backdrop for family photos. Councilmember Evan Glass and Glen Echo Park host the 4th annual Pride Family Day, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
