2. Contemporary Conversations:  Renowned writer Mahogany L. Browne will talk about her work today at 6 p.m. at the Marilyn J. Praisner Library in Burtonsivlle. While the event is free, there is limited seating. Register here.

3. Municipal Monday:  The Gaithersburg Mayor and Council meet at 7:30 p.m. for a regular session. Find the agenda online.  The Rockville Mayor and Council meet at 7 p.m. at City Hall. Find the meeting agenda online.

4. Bridging the Digital Divide: The county is working to distribute the remaining 25,000 Chromebooks to low-income families without the resources to afford a laptop. Appointments are required and may be made online. This week appointments are available Wednesday through Friday.

5. Virtual Career Workshops:  The Commission on Women’s series of career workshops wraps up today with a virtual webinar about negotiating a salary The webinar is free and begins at 7 p.m. Registration is required. Learn more and register here.

And One More Thing: Commencement season continues today with Clarksburg High School seniors graduating this morning at Mount St. Mary’s University. Former Clarksburg HS Principal Edward Owusu will speak at the commencement. He retired in 2023 after nearly 30 years with MCPS.
