Community Meeting: From 6:30-8:30 p.m., the county’s transportation department will have an in-person community meeting about pedestrian safety improvements in the New Hampshire Estates Elementary School neighborhood, according to a release. The meeting will be at New Hampshire Estates Elementary School in the all-purpose room at 8720 Carroll Ave. in Silver Spring.
2. Summer Twilight Concert Series: The Latin pop group Ocho de Bastos will put on a free concert tonight at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton from 6:30-8 p.m. as part of Montgomery Parks’ Summer Twilight Concert Series.
