1. Graduations: Commencements today include students from Longview School, the Model Learning Center, Northwood High School, Sherwood High school, Springbrook High School, and Watkins Mill High School.

2. Pride Month: Here are some events happening locally to celebrate Pride Month. This weekend explore the following three events:

• Olney Theatre Center hosts a social mixer at 6 p.m. with Councilmembers Dawn Luedtke and Evan Glass. Free with online RSVP.
• Preschoolers ages 2 to 8 learn about the colors of the Pride Flag during the “We are the Rainbow – The Colors of Pride Storytime” in Gaithersburg Saturday morning. Tickets are $5, advanced registration is encouraged.
• Takoma Park celebrates the LGBTQ+ community with a Kids’ Pride Parade and street fair on Laurel Avenue Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free and for all ages. Find details here.

4. Friday Night Concerts: The Burt the Dirt band performs in Downtown Bethesda tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the corner of Norfolk and Del Ray Avenues.  Also, the Rockville Town Square outdoor concert series kicks off at 6 p.m. with I&I Riddim Reggae Band.

5. Metro Red Line Shutdown: The Red Line from Fort Totten to Glenmont is temporarily shut down for construction. Metro and regional transportation departments offer riders various travel options during the closures.

 And One More Thing: GoFundMe, the fundraising platform, named Silver Spring the 3rd most generous city in the country. GoFundMe will attend the FRESHFARM Farmers Market in downtown Silver Spring on Saturday, June 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a day with a photo booth, delicious treats from local businesses and free swag.
