1. Air Quality: The airnow.gov website reports an improvement in the air quality from Thursday’s unhealthy to today’s moderate range. MyMCM spoke with Dr. Fabian Sandoval to learn how to cope with poor air quality.
2. Ride On Service Changes: Due to a shortage of operators, both Ride On Flex and Ride On extRa bus services are suspended Friday, June 9. Also, the transportation department is encouraging residents to complete a survey about recent experiences using the Capital Bikeshare system as today is the last day to complete the survey.
3. Friday Night Concert: The Jill Fulton rock band performs in Downtown Bethesda tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the corner of Norfolk and Del Ray Avenues. Norfolk Avenue is closed to cars from Del Ray to St. Elmo Avenue.

5. Bethesda Big Train Baseball: Gold Medal Olympic gymnast Dominique Dawes and ESPN’s Tim Kurkjian are featured at Saturday’s baseball game. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the first pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Shirley Povich Field located at 10600 Westlake Drive in Rockville.
