1. Maryland Eases COVID-19 Restrictions: The changes Gov. Hogan announced Monday to ease capacity limits at bars and restaurants go into effect today at 5 p.m. for the state, but Montgomery County is unlikely to enact the changes, according to a statement County Executive Marc Elrich released Thursday. The County Council meets today at 11:30 a.m. to vote on a board of health regulation that has not been released.
2. CM Katz Business Briefing: Councilmember Sidney Katz will be joined by George Koutsos, operations manager for Blue Ridge Restaurant Group, and Chris McCasland and Michael Opalski, co-founders of City Bonfires for a virtual briefing on business and economic development. The briefing takes place at 1 p.m. Email Councilmember.Katz@MontgomeryCountyMD.Gov if you wish to participate.
3. Women’s History Month Author Talk: Historian Robert C. Plumb will discuss his new book “The Better Angels: Five Women Who Changed Civil War America” released in March 2020 today from 3 to 4 p.m. The public libraries present this talk on zoom.
4. Maryland Tax Extension: Comptroller Peter Franchot announced Thursday that the deadline to file state income taxes in Maryland has been extended by three months to July 15
5. Reminder: Daylight Saving Time starts Sunday morning at 2 a.m so set your clocks one hour later Saturday night before going to sleep.
