2. Total Lunar Eclipse: For the first time in more than six years, a total lunar eclipse will be visible in Montgomery County early Friday. The eclipse will reach its peak at 2:58 a.m.

3. Meet a Cop at the Bus Stop:  Montgomery County Police Department’s 3rd District hosts Meet a Cop at the Bus Stop this morning. Officers will greet residents, chat, and hand out free donuts from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Nob Hill neighborhood bus stop in Silver Spring.

4. Police Drone Program Expands: The county’s police drone program is now operating in Bethesda as of Tuesday. Bethesda is the fourth location for the Drone as First Responder Program, which launched in 2023 in downtown Silver Spring and later expanded to Wheaton/Glenmont and Gaithersburg.

5. ICYMI: Students in Walt Whitman High School’s Leadership Academy for Social Justice welcomed a special guest Tuesday to discuss the county’s Climate Action Plan.
