1. (ICYMI) Support for Federal Workers: Last Friday, three local small businesses hosted an event at Locally Crafted Workshop in Gaithersburg to assist workers facing government layoffs or job uncertainty. Attendees received free headshots, résumé help, job search support, and more.
2. MoComCon Returns: The county library system’s annual comic convention, MoComCon, takes place this weekend in Germantown. The two-day event, held Saturday, March 22, and Sunday, March 23, features a cosplay contest and a costume parade.

4. World Water Day Celebration: The county will host its first World Water Day Celebration on Saturday, March 22, at Wheaton Regional Park. Organized by the Department of Environmental Protection and partners, the event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2000 Shorefield Road in Wheaton.
5. Summer Job Fair: Looking for summer work? The county recreation department is hosting a job fair Saturday from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Wheaton Community Recreation Center. Bring a résumé, dress for success, and be prepared to discuss your experience. Register in advance on the Recreation website.
