1. Council President Briefing: Council President Kate Stewart will host a media briefing at 12:30 p.m. to discuss Council matters, including the Council’s upcoming public hearing for the FY26 Operating Budget on April 7 and 8. Watch live on the Council’s Facebook page.

2. Council Committee Meetings: Two council committees will meet today:

  • Education and Culture committee – 9:30 a.m. | 7th Floor Hearing Room | Agenda.
  • Transportation & Environment committee – 1:30 p.m. | 2nd Floor Davidson Memorial Hearing Room | Agenda.
  • Planning, Housing & Parks committee – 1:30 p.m. 7th Floor Hearing Room | Agenda.

4. Mobile Market Mondays: The Universities at Shady Grove’s Mobile Market returns today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visit room G318 on the ground floor of the Biomedical Sciences and Engineering Building. Bring grocery bags to collect free food. Volunteers are welcome—sign up here. Participants can park in Lot 2 and receive parking vouchers during pickup.

5. Meet Renata Vaccari:  The local artist and former restaurateur based in the Aspen Hill/Rockville area has been drawing since childhood, but it was not until later in life that she really got into art.
