2. Superintendent Search Community Forums: Plan to attend one of the in person forums next week to learn about the national search for a new superintendent. The first forum will be held one week from today on Tuesday, April 2, at Seneca Valley High School in Germantown at 6 p.m. School board of education president Karla Silvestre talks about the search in this video:

3. Harriet Tubman In Her Own Words: Learn about Harriet Tubman’s life at Olney Library today from 2 to 3 p.m. Janice Curtis Green is an accomplished storyteller who will embody Harriet Tubman to tell her story.

4. Pedestrian Safety: The county’s Pedestrian Safety Team will be at Ellsworth Place in downtown Silver Spring at 4 p.m. to promote pedestrian, driving, and bike safety to Montgomery County residents. Visit the MCDOT table at the Level 2 mall entrance near Ben and Jerry’s and Kung Fu Tea for free giveaways and learn more about the safety programs.

5. (ICYMI): The cherry trees in the Kenwood neighborhood in the Bethesda/Chevy Chase area are blooming.
