1.“Give and Ride Food Drive”: MCDOT requests donations of non-perishable food items on any MCDOT Ride On bus or at designated drop-off sites. Bus riders who donate will have their fare waived.

3. Pedestrian Safety: The MCDOT Pedestrian Safety Team will be at Ellsworth Place in downtown Silver Spring from 4 to 8 p.m. to promote pedestrian, driving, and bike safety to the residents of Montgomery County. Visit the MCDOT table at the Level 2 mall entrance near Ben and Jerry’s and Kung Fu Tea for free giveaways and learn more about the safety programs.
4. Building Safety Month: The Department of Permitting Services recognizes Building Safety Month during the month of May. The office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Look for the outreach table in the customer services lobby.
