5 Things to Know Today, Nov. 12, In Montgomery County

1. Sign Sweep: The county’s permitting services department will do a “sign sweep” today to remove signs that are illegally placed in public rights-of-way. Signs will not be removed from private property. See more here.

2. Council Meeting: The county council will meet today starting at 9 a.m. with separate proclamations recognizing Jacob Lee and Bryan Yung (Creators of the Runway App) and Remembrance and Reconciliation Month. The meeting will be livestreamed here.

3. #OperationGreenLight Bus: To honor veterans, the county’s transportation department debuted its #OperationGreenLight Ride On bus at Veterans Memorial Plaza in Rockville last week.
