1. MCPS Early Release Day: Montgomery County Public Schools will dismiss students early today and tomorrow.

2. Human Rights Hall of Fame Nomination Deadline: Nominations close today for individuals advancing human and civil rights in Montgomery County.

3. Municipal Monday:  The Gaithersburg Mayor and Council worksession is canceled. The Rockville Mayor and Council will not meet.

4. Winter Lights Festival – Walk & Wag: Tonight’s Walk & Wag event runs from 6-9 p.m. in Gaithersburg. Attendees can stroll 1 or 3 miles with their dogs or enjoy the walk without one. Take selfies with Santa and soak in the festive atmosphere. This is the final event before the Winter Lights Festival opens Friday, Nov. 29.

5. Affordable Housing Project Groundbreaking:  County leaders broke ground on The Chimes at North Bethesda, a new apartment development on Nebel Street. The project will provide 163 affordable rental units for more than 160 families.
