1. Sept. 11: Today marks 23 years since the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The City of Rockville will host a ceremony at 9 a.m. at Courthouse Square Park.

2. Takoma Park City Council: The Takoma Park City Council will meet today starting at 7:30 p.m. The meeting can be viewed on YouTube, the City Council video webpage, Facebook, or City TV. See the meeting agenda here.
3. New Bus Routes: New bus routes are in service as part of the county’s Great Seneca Transit Network. On Monday in Rockville, leaders launched the Pink and Lime bus routes, which started operating Sunday.

5. ICYMI: Students paid tribute to James Baldwin’s legacy with poetry and dramatic performances Saturday at the Mansion at Strathmore in North Bethesda. Last month, the writer and civil rights activist would have turned 100 years old.
