1. Council: The Montgomery County Council session starts at 9:00 a.m. with a Proclamation recognizing National Senior Citizens Day by Councilmember Sayles and a Proclamation Celebrating the Drag Story Hour and Participants by Councilmember Mink and the full Council.

2. MCPD: Police will share how it plans to use drones to enhance public safety today from 7-8 p.m. at Wheaton Library and Recreation Center, 11701 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring.
3. Pedestrian Safety Outreach at Sargent Shriver ES: The MCDOT Pedestrian Safety Team will join Sargent Shriver Elementary School’s Back-to-School Night for 3rd-5th grades from 6 to 8 p.m. to promote pedestrian and bike safety to the school community.
4. Twilight Tuesdays: Veterans Plaza from 7 to 9 p.m. in Downtown Silver Spring. Today’s performance is DJs Relly Belly and Spartacus.
