1. Council: The committee will meet at 9:30 a.m. to receive an update on Montgomery County Public Schools’ (MCPS) Academic Performance.

2. MCPD: Police Accountability Board quarterly law enforcement chiefs meeting at 7 p.m.

3. Diabetes Management Program: Free six-week online Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP) starting Sept. 12. The program will take place every Thursday from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

4. MCDOT: Pedestrian Safety Skills Presentation at Montgomery College from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. The MCDOT Pedestrian Safety Team will present safety best practices to students in transition training for independence.
5. ICYMI: Pickleball is now a varsity sport at all 25 county high schools. Tuesday marked the official start of the season with seven matches. MCPS is believed to be the first school district in the U.S. to offer pickleball as a varsity sport.
