Cavanaugh Bell, an eight-year-old from Gaithersburg who has been providing food packages and other supplies to those less fortunate than him during the pandemic, will join with celebrities including Hamilton composer Lin-Manuel Miranda and musicians Jon Bon Jovi, Ant Clemons, Foo Fighters, John Legend, Demi Lovato, Bruce Springsteen and Justin Timberlake during tonight’s Inauguration special.
Bell, who started a food pantry and delivered a truck full of supplies to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, is expected to introduce Justin Timberlake. He told CBS that he is excited, noting, “I haven’t ever, ever been able to be a part of something with the president.”
He said he hoped for bipartisanship in the years ahead. Bell attends Spark Matsunaga Elementary School in Germantown.
